What Matters....

1. Thou slaves, but sent of the Lord until the time God’s word came; AND THEIR STORY CHANGED- Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah

‘17As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. 19And … among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: …. 20And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, the king found them 10 times better than all … that were in all his realm. (Dan 1: 17-20)

48Then the king made Daniel (a slave, remember…) a great man…, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon. 49Then … the king, …set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon. (Dan 2: 48-49)


2. Thou not known by anybody, but sent of the Lord until the time God’s word came; AND HER STORY CHANGED- Mary

26…angel Gabriel was sent by God …, 27to …. Mary. The angel said to her, "… you have found favor with God. 31… you will conceive … and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. 32He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end. 35 …The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 37For with God nothing will be impossible." (Luke 1: 26, 27, 31-37)


3. Thou an ex-convict, but sent of the Lord until the time God’s word came; AND HIS NAME & STORY CHANGED- Paul

1 Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest 2 …, so that if he found any who were of the Way, …, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. (Acts 9:1-2)

‘… suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. 4Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? Then the Lord said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting…. Arise …, and you will be told what you must do." (Acts 9:3-6)

13…Saul…, the God of our fathers has chosen you that you should know His will, and see the Just One, and hear the voice of His mouth. (Acts 22:13-14)

16 … to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. 18to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me. (Acts 26:16,18)


It doesn’t matter how you get in,
What Matters Is If You Are Sent Of God

Let us all like Daniel and Coy say:
... Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. (Dan 3:17)

… like Mary say:
... Let it be to me according to your word. (Luke 1: 26, 27, )

… like Paul say:
... Therefore… I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision. (Acts 26:19)
