Cake Time, Guys....
Last week was a bit tight for me, it was the end of 1st semester and I was being stretched by my schoolwork. I had to submit my essays (equivalent of exams) and that kept me away from you for 2 days. I apologise for that.
We all want to eat and cakes and have it, but we grew up being told it is not possible. I have a different word for you, It Is Possible and It Is Time!! I remember when the Odukoyas came to my church on 4th December 2005, they said: ‘Judgement is getting what you deserve, Mercy is not getting what you deserve and Grace is getting what you don’t deserve.’
We all love the good things of life, but nobody wants to work too hard for them. Sometimes I wish somebody could just wave the Magic Wand and all my needs be met, or I have a Midas Touch with a difference (so I don’t turn my family members into gold). Unfortunately, I don’t, but thanks to the word of God from the Odukoya’s, I have more than a Magic Wand or Midas Touch, I HAVE GRACE.
No matter who you are, GRACE will locate you. E.g. David located Mephibosheth the grandson of Saul his enemy, honoured him and restored his heritage.
No matter where you are, GRACE will cause you to be remembered. E.g. David remembered Mephibosheth in the place with ‘no pasture’ (Lo Debar), honoured him and restored his heritage.
No matter what you are, GRACE will lift you. E.g. David lifted Mephibosheth the cripple, honoured him and restored his heritage.
No matter how your situation is, GRACE will carry you. E.g. David carried Mephibosheth the grandson of his enemy and a cripple from the low side of life, honoured him and restored his heritage.
GRACE works regardless of you, your past, mistakes or honours.
It works based on the price God paid in Christ’s death, burial and resurrection.
GRACE is God’s Love on a mission, seeking you to give you what you don’t deserve.
GRACE is FOC for you and I, because Christ already paid the price.
So how do we request for it?
1. By Faith: Ephesians 2: 8 says ‘For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.’
2. With Humility: 1st Peter 5:5 says ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble’
3. In Sincerity: Ephesians 6: 24 says ‘Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity’
And how can I activate it in my life?
1. With Thanksgiving to the Baker (God) who has promised you can eat your cake and still have it because He will give you exceedingly abundantly above your appetite. Thank Him more when it seems there’s no cake for you or the enemy has stolen it.
2. By Service to the Baker’s (God) in His Bakery (God’s House) and others (of the Household of Faith)
3. By forgiving yourself of your past (when you acted irrationally, ignorantly or greedily) and forgiving others (who acted irrationally, ignorantly, greedily or tried to eat your cake)
I Declare GRACE Upon You This Week And For The Rest Of Your Life Like Never Before. It Will Override Judgement And You Will Not Get The Punishment Or Demotion (that word is for somebody) You Deserve, It Will Show You Mercy And Cause You To Eat The Goodness Of Life And Still Have Life More Abundantly, In Jesus Name. AMEN.
Bring Out Your Serving Plates GUys, It Is Time!!
