Step Out.

Comfort Zone ------> Obedience Zone ------> World Changing Zone

This illustration came to my mind for today the 1st of March 2006, the beginning of the last month of the 1st quarter.

We all started the year on a good note. God, Parents, family members, Boss, friends, subordinates and even ‘donkeys’ spoke and we were all in good moods. Over the months, we’ve not been static, we’ve read and heard information intended for our change and improvement, but how far have we gone?

God is asking me this question as much as I’m throwing it on ‘Today’s Note’s floor. A part of me has more or less settled into my comfort zone, and life is beautiful…. But thank God for the dreams in me that cannot keep quiet and have crying for expression.

It is never too late to leave your comfort zone. When Abram got God’s call in Genesis 12, he was a 75 years old man. 75 years is past retirement age; you try and imagine the gravity of: ‘Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you.Strange isn’t it! But Gen 15:6 and Rom 4:3 show us ‘And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

Getting born-again was our first step out of our comfort zone as it takes more than guts to trust an unseen God. But life doesn’t stop there; otherwise, we would have been God sent to heaven immediately after we said the sinner’s prayers.

After telling Abram to leave his comfort Zone, God gave him this promise, and it’s available for everybody that will step out of his or her comfort zones. He told him: ‘I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ Gen 12: 2-3

Everybody has a dream on their inside, and it is a world-changing one. When I say ‘everybody’, I mean ‘EVERYBODY’, and this is a call to step out of our comfort zone to give that/those dream(s) expression. Stepping out of your comfort zone might seem like stepping into a danger zone, but it’s worth it. Abram stepped out and that was the beginning of God’s will and what makes us. Today, we enjoy the grace of the Abrahamic covenant because Abram, ‘who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken. And not being weak in faith…he did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.’

It’s the start of yet a new month…
Nations are waiting to be blessed and your dreams as asking for expression.

Matt 11:12 shows us that ‘And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.’ This passage says ‘the violent’, and not the ‘Pastors’, so let’s step out of our comfort zone.

Remember we are who we are today because Abram stepped out. We are the Abrams of our age, it’s a call to STEP OUT.

Love, Janmo!
