The Great Award Day.

The Grammy award is just a few weeks away; do you remember how they normally do it?

Which of these movies deserves to win Best Picture? The nominees are….

And the Winner is...

Congratulations to … and the rest of the … Team. The movie was voted ‘Movie of the Year 2006’ by ‘Fortune 2000’. It is simply brilliant! Congratulations to all of you!

In life, we are acting out our roles as scripted by the Grand Playwright, GOD. The stage has been set, the resources provided and the manuscript, (which is God’s Word), is there for the cast members to see, read and act out. Jesus came, acted his part and has left the stage, leaving the rest to the remaining cast members. The play has been going on for a while, and our Award day is just around the corner. Rev 22:12 tells us ‘And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.’ It will be a glorious and wonderful day!

Imagine a Grammy where a group of people gets the award…. Nobody asks who did what, instead, everybody pile on stage to receive it. It wouldn’t be ‘My award’, but ‘Our Award’….

Likewise, on our own Award day, Jesus will be the Lead Actor, but He will not take the spotlight alone. Col 3:4 says: ‘When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in the splendour of His glory’. That’s Great News Guys!!!

My question is: how have you kept to the lines?

Jesus didn’t strut about as the Lead Actor; He served till the point of suffering and death. He washed the feet of His disciples; provided money for their tax, led them, fed them, rebuked nature for them and chose to die on the cross for everybody. Right now, He’s seated at the right hand of God our Father where He’s still serving: interceding on our behalf.

Jesus told His disciples that:
Matt 20:27: ‘And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant’,
Matt 23:11 says: ‘But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant’,
Mark 9:35 says: ‘If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all’
Mark 10:44 says: ‘And whosoever of you will be the chief, shall be servant of all’.

In spending 6 days to create the heavens and the earth, God was setting the stage right so there would be no excuse for service -'For all things are yours, And you are Christ's, and Christ is God’s.’

The disciple is not above his master.’ – Matt 10:24. If the Lead Actor served, then the rest of the crew will serve. ‘For it was an act worthy of God and fitting to the divine nature that He, for Whose sake and by Whom all things have their existence, in bringing many sons into glory, should make the Pioneer of their salvation perfect [should bring to maturity the human experience necessary to be perfectly equipped for His office as High Priest] through suffering. – Hebs 2:10

Search the Manuscript, discover your part and channel God’s resources towards service. So that on that day, it wouldn’t be: ‘And the winner is.…’, but ‘And the winners are.…’, because we all partook with Him in His shame and glory.

Love, Janmo!
