John 3:16?

7 years ago, December 1998, I got thinking about the true meaning of Xmas. 
I felt there was more to Xmas than the grubs, music, drinks and gifts….
I knew there was more to it than the Luke 2 stage plays we acted in Secondary schools…
 
I wished I could step in God’s shoes and feel the true meaning of Xmas!
 
Right in my Spirit man, I heard God told me;
‘For I so loved the world that I gave….’
EQUALS
‘For I so loved the world that Christ was born….’
EQUALS
‘For I so loved the world that Christ was born & His birth is still being celebrated….’
EQUALS
‘For I so loved the world that Xmas ‘be-ed’ and still is….’
 
THAT WAS IT!!!!!
The genesis of Xmas is in John 3:16.
‘For God So Loved The World That He Gave His Only Begotten Son….’
 
Xmas is because of God’s love….
The eating and drinking of Xmas is because of God’s love….
John 3:16 is the basis for everything at Christmas!
 
But Xmas is also 2-fold.
Xmas is much more than the parties and gifts.
 
God had plans for our eternal salvation…
… that was why Jesus was born in the city of David thousands of years ago.
 
Xmas Is,
For The Food, Drinks, Gifts and Holiday,
And Also
That Nobody Would Perish, But Have Eternal Life.
 
So,
While eating, drinking, partying and sending out your Xmas gifts, don’t forget the other reason for Xmas... ‘…THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE’
 
... And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard....?' Romans 10:14b

Xmas is towards the end of the year, another new year is around the corner. Don’t just party, dine and wine, help others believe in him. Preach John 3:16 to The Last Bit,
So Our Families and Friends ‘… Would Not Perish, But Have Eternal Life.’
